“I lived at Charlton Place once before on a temporary basis until my health improved and was quite pleased with the care, so when my house became too much to keep up with, I automatically chose to return here. The staff is upbeat and friendly, and they always have smiling faces. I appreciate the easy living and enjoy having friends around to spend time with. I’ve always believed in living life to the fullest, and I get to do just that here at Charlton Place!” – Evelyn B., Resident
“I relocated to Charlton Place to be closer to my son. I am very active, and enjoy walking indoors and out, summer or winter. I enjoy the activity program and like playing cards and exercising the most. I was so glad to know that Charlton has internet access, because I spend a lot of time on my computer. I also appreciate the complementary transportation service that is provided for doctor visits and shopping trips. I have no needs that go unmet. I have a lot of quality living ahead of me here at Charlton Place.” – Trudy C., Resident
“Are you kidding? A large apartment, someone to clean up after me, prepare my meals and serve them to me, do my laundry, and entertain me? A bus that doesn’t leave the parking lot without me in it? Who WOULDN’T want to live at Charlton Place?” – Thomas M., Resident
Laura has been a Charlton Place resident for 3 years. She says the residents and staff here make it feel like home, noting how loving and fun everyone is. Originally from Selma, she moved to Deatsville, Alabama when her nephew was born. She remembers going to the beach often during the summer. Laura worked in medical records until she retired. Today, she says her friends describe her as proud, caring and almost always smiling.
